We teach Organic Farming & Environmental Sustainability workshops for schools, companies and organisations. Our programs are taught by Fai Hui, a Royal Horticulture Society certified grower, IFOAM organic inspector and rooftop farming specialist.
Our programs emphasize hands-on activities such as:
- Making Seedlings
- Planting & Harvesting Vegetables
- Upcycling
- Making Compost
- Taking Horticultural Tours of Seasonal Crops
- Experiencing Herbs
- Educational Games
Participants learn about:
- Growing Vegetables & Healthy Eating
- Science & Nature (Insects, Energy, Weather)
- The Environment (Waste, Composting, Recycling)
Our Urban Farming workshops teach participants how to grow their own organic herbs and vegetables in small spaces. Topics include:
- Appropriate seasonal vegetables for Hong Kong
- Climate and light conditions
- Soil types and aeration
- Germinating seeds
- Transplanting seedlings
- Plant spacing
- Container planting
- Watering and fertilizer use
- Pest and disease identification and control
- Pruning
